All matches kicked off at the Al Sadd Stadium at 19:00, with many taking home new luxury prizes.

QSLM’s Marketing and Communications Acting Executive Director Hassan Rabiah Al Kuwari presided over the function, attended by Head of Corporate Services Bader Al Mansouri, Head of Corporate Sponsorship Meshaal Abdulaziz Al Emadi and Community Relations Officer Nasser Al Kuwari.

Firas said, “We feel honoured with our huge partnership with the QSLM. It’s a continued tie-up. We believe we’re adding value to the sports industry in general and Qatar football in particular through this association.”

Ten-year-old Nasser, an ardent fan of Al Sadd team, opined he was surprisingly shocked after hearing the news.

“I was in shock for sometime when I heard that I won the prize. This is the first time I’m winning a prize. I can’t express my happiness in words. I’m a regular at the stadium for Al Sadd’s  matches. This gives even more motivation to attend games,” said Nasser, who was accompanied by his uncle.

Moursi said he never expected to win.

“I watch some games, but I never expected to win a car as a prize. I’m so happy that I won!” he said.

Raizul, who played football at school level in his native Sri Lanka, felt “over the moon”.

The fifth edition of the Qatar Cup saw Al Duhail defeat Al Sadd in the final. Al Duhail had beaten Al Gharafa in the semi-finals as Al Sadd overcame Al Rayyan.
