The ‘Qatar Clasico’ ticket sales, which started on Wednesday evening, are progressing at the venue — Al Sadd Stadium. The high-profile QNB Stars League match between Al Sadd and Al Rayyan is scheduled for Friday from 19:30.

Al Sadd, being the host team, is responsible for ticketing and distribution. Ticket sales continued at the club’s reception area on Thursday. They can also be purchased on Friday from 17:00. 

A special event area, which will be open from 5pm on the match day, will feature a play arena and restaurants for fans who can enjoy the special activities before entering the stadium. 

Ticket holders on the right and left of the VIP tribune may park their cars at the spectators’ parking area.

As part of the preparations, the Qatar Stars League Management had held a co-ordination meeting at its headquarters in Al Bidda Tower on Tuesday. QSLM officials and representatives from the Stadium Security Department as well as Al Sadd and Al Rayyan clubs were among those who attended the meeting. 

A number of important issues, like the need for teams and organisers to reach the stadium well in time, inviting the public to come early to avoid crowding, opening of gates to fans, dressing rooms, match list and early presence of club representatives at the gates, were discussed. 

Spectators have been urged to keep the match tickets with them while inside the venue and co-operate fully with the security personnel.
