Umm Salal’s Turkish coach Bülent Uygun is expecting a reaction from his side after conceding a last minute penalty in round 17 against Qatar SC, causing Salal to draw for the ninth time this season.

“Our match against Meisameer will not be easy. Their match against Al Rayyan last week shows they are strong defensively and lost only to two very late goals.” Noted the Turkish tactitian at his side’s pre match press conference on Thursday afternoon.

Uygen also spoke to the press about his sides targets going into the second part of the season. “We want to be in the top four places. We will need concentration to see out games when we are winning and turn these draws into wins.”

Uygen concluded his press conference noting that he has been clear with his side and what he expects to achieve from them in the second part of the season. “We will be looking to get the win like we did in the first half of the season against Meisameer. We have prepared well for this match and I am hoping from a strong reaction from my side.”

Meisameer’s assistant coach  Dragan Tadić believes that his side can draw plenty of encouragement from their late defeat to Al Rayyan in round 17.

“Our performance against Al Rayyan shows that this side can compete with the top teams in Qatar. This match will give us the incentive in the coming matches to do our best to survive in the Qatar Stars League. “

Talking about the opponents at the pre match press conference on Thursday morning Tadić said; “Umm Salal are a strong skillful side. This will not be an easy test.”

Tadić concluded his press conference by talking up the fighting qualities of Meisameer. “We will fight till the last game, it doesn’t look good right now but each and every week we are fighting to gain three points, and hopefully are fortunes will change in the second half of the season.”
