Struggling Al Sailiya take on newly Muaither in round ten of the QSL season. Al Sailiya’s Tunisian tactician Sami Trabelsi revealed his sides aims in todays prematch press conference for the game.
Opening up the press conference Trabelsi lamented the form of his side, who where comprehensively beaten 3-0 by Lekhwiya in round nine. “Our match versus Muaither i is very important for both sides. Our recent results have not been not satisfying and we need to make up for it in recent weeks.”
“Muaither is very good team that demonstrated impressive performances this season despite the lack of individual players. The return of player Faouzi Aaish will help us against this team” added the Tunisian tactician.
As for Muaither they fell to a 2-0 defeat to Umm Salal in round nine. French head coach Philiipe Birol has some concerns for his side heading in to the tie against The Peregrines.
“It’s true the preparations for this game have been tough for my side. We have had a short time to recover, and we are now going into a big game against a similar level team in Al Sailiya” added the French coach on the Monday morning press conference.
Muaither have failed to pick up points in their last two QSL games and will be eager to prove themselves against a established side in the QSL. “We will be without some players, and this will be a challenge for the side. I hope my squad will be able to step up in this match.”
Birol ended the conversation adding that his side could be without his key strikers heading into the match. “ Both Alain Dioko and Mahmoud Za'tara could be doubtful for this match. Both have been injured recently, Za'tara will not be available for selection but Dioko has started training and could play.”
