Al Sailiya’s head coach Sami Trabelsi has urged caution from his side ahead of their round 18 clash with Al Wakrah on Saturday afternoon.

“Wakrah has a team full of quality, especially in attack. We will have to be at our best for this match.” Said the Tunisian tactian at his side’s pre match press conference on Thursday afternoon.

“In the past matches between us and Wakrah have been entertaining and after defeating Lekhwiya in the last round we go into the match with confidence.”

Sailiya are currently in 6th place in the QSL standings and know that a good run could lead them into the top four places, something that Trabelsi was playing down during his pre match press conference.

“I know that if we keep on improving that can happen. Our aim now has to finish as high as possible, I think as you have seen in recent weeks some of the big teams are struggling and it is our job to take advantage of that situation.”

Trabelsi concluded his conference with a word on the QSL title race and the chasing pack. “There is a big difference in points with the teams fighting for the title and everyone else behind this year. This is not a reflection on the quality of the league; rather that one team has played so well. I think that the situation in the top 4 can change this year, especially with Al Sadd performances lately. The race is still on. “

Al Wakrah’s  head coach Mauricio Larriera has called for consistency from his side ahead of their match with Al Sailiya on Saturday afternoon.

“The matches in the second half of the season will shape our fate, we must look to achieve positive results.” Noted the Uraguyan coach at his side’s pre match press conference on Thursday morning.

“Our main problem is that we are not achieving stability at the moment with consistent results. We can win one game and the next we will lose or draw. If we want to move up from our current position we must look to get a good run of wins together.”

Talking of his side’s recent results in the league Larriera noted “We must get a run of wins if we are to pull away from the relegation zone, that is our aim and I think that we will be able to do this providing we can get a positive result against Al Sailiya.

Larriera concluded his press conference with some updates on his squad. “We should have two players back in contention for this match, Hussein Yasser & Saad Al Sulaiti.”
