Al Sailiya take on a in-form Al Gharafa side in round 11 of the QSL season. The Peregrines coach Sami Trabelsi spoke to the media ahead of the match.

Opening up the press conference the Tunsian coach revewaled his side will be without two key players heading into the game. “The matches are coming fast at the moment, so we are letting the players recover. We will be without some key players for the match Raoul Loé will be suspended for the game. Whilst Aaish is coming back from injury we will be a big boost for the side when he returns.”

Trabelsi also noted that his side will face a stern test when taking on Al Gharafa; “We playing one of the best teams in the league at the moment, who are well balanced and they have good players who can win them the game.”

“As for our aims we will make the match tough and not make it easy for Al Gharafa. Our aim is to get a positive result from this game” added the Tunisian coach when asked about his targets from the game.

Ending the press conference Trabelsi lamented the lack of fire-power at the club. “We don’t have a big choice of players in attack, and we have lacked our killer touch in front of goal. We need to address this problem soon otherwise Al Sailiya could be punished.”

Al Gharafa are one of the form teams in the QSL and have registered five straight wins in the league. Portuguese head coach Pedro Caixinia revealed his thoughts on the upcoming game against Al Sailiya.

Opening up the press conference Caixina spoke about his opponent Al Sailiya; “Each game is a different challenge, Sami Trabelsi is a good coach and he knows the league well. When we faced Al Sailiya it was a big team. We are not looking at Sailiya at their league position but the form they are in at the moment.”

“We are working on giving them confidence, my job is to keep them balanced and focused. When you are winning games you have to work on the little details. My team is playing every four days at the moment so we have to focus and work hard to keep up this good moment” added the Portuguese coach during the Saturday press conference.

Caixinia was also eager to praise the whole Gharafa side in pushing the side on their eight game unbeaten run. “All the team is doing a fantastic job, not only the starting players. The whole squad is pushing the players in the side to do better in training day by day. You need the whole team to be preforming in order to do well.

The charasmatic Portugeese coach ended the press conference with a kind word for midfielder Johnson Kendrick. “Johnson is doing fantastic and is full of confidence and he is helping us in many ways because he plays in a number of different positions in attack. When you are full of confidence you tend to make and take more risks. We are delighted in him and the rest of the players and their performance at the moment.”
