Al Sailiya are on a high, being in the fourth place of standings after three rounds, and that was evident in their coach Sami Trabelsi’s words when he addressed a Press Conference ahead of their game against Al Kharaitiyat in Round 4 of the QNB Stars League at the Al Ahli Stadium on Saturday.
“Even though we’re in a good position three rounds into the league campaign, our team is still improving after every outing. We hope to maintain the momentum. At the same time, I keep telling my players not to be complacent and to stay focused on winning matches,” said Trabelsi.
“We know Al Kharaitiyat are at the moment struggling to find their footing with a string of bad results. However, we won’t take them lightly. In Ahmad Al Ajlani, they’ve one of the best coaches from the Arab region and we should be wary of our opponents,” said the Tunisian.
Asked whether his side benefited from the QSL Cup matches during the break, Sami said in the affirmative.
“Of course, we had a lot of gains from those two fixtures. They enabled us to make a realistic assessment of our game. That tournament is better than the junior league and the players got more playing time without getting tired,” he concluded.
