Al Gharafa are seeing their first points of the season and will be aiming to defeat Al Sadd on Friday evening. Cheetahs boss Jean Fernandez spoke to the local media ahead of the game. 

Opening up the press conference, Fernandez stressed that his side will have to put their foot forward against Sadd. “I don’t think that playing defensive will only help you against Al Sadd. You have to have balance, and have an offensive strategy against the team and that is what we will have to do.” 

“We are facing one of the best teams in Qatar, and they are better but we will be playing to win. Al Sadd are favourites for the title and have five or six players who can make the difference. We will need a big performance if we are to win” added the French coach when asked about his sides prospects against the Wolves. 

Whilst Ahmed Alaaeldin of Gharafa added that his side are improving this season. “Al Sadd are better side, but in football anything can happen. Al Gharafa are getting better game by game and we will do our best in the game to come away with the three points.”
