Al Duhail head into the match of the week after two comfortable victories in the league. Red Knighst coach Djamel Belmadi spoke to the media ahead of the match. 

Opening up the press conference, Belmadi revealed he is expecting a good attacking display from both sides. “Our midfield is one of our strengths and I believe that the battle will be in midfield. If we win this battle we can control the game. Al Rayyan have a strong attack also. We need to be strong in all areas of the pitch. It will be a interesting game, with two teams with a strong attacking philosophy and I hope it’s a good game to watch.”

Belmadi remained  coy when asked about his sides defensive selection ahead of the game. “You have to deal with the threat of a good attacking side. We believe in what we do and we will be looking to impose ourself on the team. At the end of the day, you will see in the selection on Friday.” 

Whilst Yusef Msakni revealed his excitement for being handed the captains armband this season. “I am glad that the manger and the chairman have selected me as the captain for this season. I hope I can do my best as captain and help Duhail achieve all they can this year.
