“Our team can beat any team in the league we have lost four points in our last two games. We are hungry to prove ourself against a side like El Jaish” explained the Qatari head coach when asked about the form of Al Ahli after their 3-3 draw with Al Sailiya last time out.

Top of the table El Jaish head into their away tie at Al Ahli on the back on a fantastic run of form. Head coach Sabri Lamouchi offered his thoughts to the local media ahead of the game.

Opening up the press conference Lamouchi stressed that Decmeber will be a big month for his club, starting with Al Ahli. “It’s always easy when you are top of the league. Now you have to work hard, December will be a hard month for us. We are ready for this big challenge. It is a difficult game against Al Ahli who are strong in attack and in maximum concentration.”

Jaish are currently four points clear at the top of the QSL standings, however Lamouchi noted that he wants his side to continue their rich vein of form. “To be first now is good, but we must be first at the end. After eight games we are top, but now the real work starts to maintain that. We need to focus in each game and apply what we are working on in the training pitch.”

“All the teams want to beat the leaders, so we won’t have easy games. We need to show our determination and hunger to win this league” added the French tactitian when asked about the qualities his side need to exhibit to lift the QSL falcon shield at the end of the season.

Lamouchi ended the press conference, talking attacker Romarinho who is currently the joint top goal scorer in the QSL; "We are working together for two years now. He has changed the team this year, and he has lead the line in a number of positions, he is always happy and working for the team. He has scored many goals for El Jaish and I am happy how he helps the club."
