Al Ahli take on Al Rayyan in the final game of the QSL season. The match will take place at the Al Gharafa Stadium on Saturday.

Al Ahli have turned their season around with a run of four straight wins. After last weeks thrilling 5-4 win over Lekhwiya they sit seventh in the table with thirty-four points. The Brigadiers will be gunning for the three points against Champions Al Rayyan.

Al Rayyan have seen a dip in form after being crowned the champions. They drew two and lost two in their last four matches. The lions will hope to end the season on a high with a win against Al Ahli.

Jorge Fossati, the head coach of Al Rayyan is looking forward to end of the league but reminded everyone that the season is still not over, “It’s the last match of the league but not of the season. So we will try to focus on the game but we can’t forget that after this game starts the Qatar cup and Emir Cup after that.”

“We will try to do our best against Al Ahli who are in very good form,” added Fossati at the press conference on Thursday

Rodrigo Tabata is in competing for the Golden Boot as he has 20 goals this season and his coach is very happy about this prospect. “It is the last worry for him (Tabata) to be the top scorer of the league. He is a team player and in every match he always thinks about the betterment of the team. I really hope he wins top scorer as he is our captain. If he wins we will be very happy for him as a group,” added the Uruguayan tactician.

Al Rayyan ended a long wait for the title and Fossati reminded the media that the Falcon Shield was the biggest priority this season, “We won the league after twenty-one years and this feeling is more important than anything.”
