Youssef Snana’s last-gasp goal helped Al Sailiya to a stunning 1-0 win over Al Gharafa in Week 15 of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Grand Hamad Stadium of Al Arabi club on Thursday.

Snana’s goal came off a rebound of a seemingly non-threatening shot by Anwar El Ghazi in one minute of added time after bad handling by goalkeeper Khalifa Ababacar as the hosts secured their fourth win in the league to further move clear of relegation zone.

Al Sailiya, who are now on 15 points, thought they got an early opener in the fourth minute through El Ghazi, but a VAR check put paid to that for a foul on Saifeldeen Fadlalla by Cristian Del Bello in the build-up to the goal.

Al Gharafa entered the match as table toppers with 31 points, but the result knocked them off their perch, enabling Al Sadd, who decisively won their fixture, to overtake them in the race for league shield.
