Al Gharafa’s Portuguese coach Pedro Martins and star Spanish player Joselu addressed the media ahead of their Qatar-UAE Super Cup match against Sharjah of the UAE.

Sharjah coach Jose Morais and player Caio Lucas also addressed the media.

Martins said, “The match will be difficult against a strong Sharjah team that has been performing well, but I am confident in Al Gharafa’s ability to deliver a performance that will help us win the title.

“Our team is ready and determined to win. We hope to perform well and lift the Super Cup. We are aware that we face a significant challenge in this match. The team is currently in good form and we hope this will translate into success in our Qatar-UAE Super Cup match.

“I will focus on my team and the best way to deliver a strong performance, and hope that Al Gharafa players will be successful in winning the cup.”

Joselu said, “We must give everything we can to win the championship cup. Our team is going through a remarkable period and is on the right track. We are confident in our abilities and are looking forward to winning and claiming the title.

“We will do our utmost to bring the title to our fans and hope that luck will be on our side in this match.”

Morais said, “This match is a final in every sense and regardless of the tournament, our goal is always to win. Matches like these can end with a title, so the team will give its all to win the cup. We want to compete in a way that allows us to win, whatever the circumstances.

“We have worked very hard recently and the work we have done will show on the pitch. We know Al Gharafa are a tough and strong team, but what matters to us is dealing with the opposing team as a whole, not focusing on stopping any one player. However, the opponent has outstanding individual talents like Joselu who previously played for Real Madrid and is considered as the most threatening player, but our main focus will be on our own performance.

Caio said, “I do not feel any pressure. We will enter the match to win, claim the title and make our fans happy. The most important thing is to perform well and enjoy playing on the pitch. Al Gharafa have some big names and we have faced them before in AFC Champions League Elite.”
