Al Wakrah coach Vicente Moreno spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 5 match against Al Sadd.

“We prepared well for this match, as usual, and we know how difficult it will be. As for me, we are thinking for ourselves and we realize that if we want to win all the points, we must have the necessary focus.

“Al Wakrah are certainly capable of resuming our winning streak. We do not like losing and we know that we will face a difficult match against a very good team. This team has good players and a very good coach. However, my team is also very good and I have great confidence in the players. I know that when we play the way we know how, we can beat any team,” said Moreno.

Al Wakrah player Hamdy Fathy said, “Big matches are always unexpected. The game is difficult for both teams. We prepared well for this challenge and studied the Al Sadd team well. We hope that we will be successful and achieve victory and take the three points.”
