Al Duhail Club have announced the signing of Italian star midfielder Marco Verratti, who will join the first team from Al Arabi Club, in a deal that represents a significant addition to the squad ahead of the start of the new Qatar Stars League 2025-26 season.

Verratti played for Al Arabi for the past two seasons, coming from Paris Saint-Germain, with whom he achieved numerous successes, achievements, and championships over the course of 11 years.

The 32-year-old Verratti is a prominent figure in the midfield, boasting extensive experience throughout his professional career. He has also previously played for Pescara in Italy from 2008 to 2012 and for Paris Saint-Germain in France from 2012 to 2023, winning the league title nine times with the club before joining Al Arabi during the 2023-24 season.

At the international level, Verratti with the Italian national team participated at all age groups and all the way up to the senior team where he won the European Nations Championship (Euro 2020), which was held in 2021 due to the repercussions of the Coronavirus pandemic at that time.
