As part of preparations for the Play-Off match between Umm Salal (11th in 2024-2025 Ooredoo Stars League) and Al Markhiya (Second Division runners-up) at Al Bayt Stadium on Monday, April 28, 2025 (7pm kick-off), the Qatar Stars League (QSL) held a technical meeting. It was attended by representatives of QSL – Mr. Ahmed Salman Al Adsani, Director of Competitions, Mr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Sayed, Head of Football Operations – Mr. Abdullah Al Balooshi, representative of Qatar Football Association’s Referees Department, and representatives of both teams.

The meeting discussed organizational procedures and guidelines for the match as well as approval of official kits for both teams.

It was also confirmed that if the match ends in a draw, an extra time of 30 minutes, divided into two halves, will be played.
