Al Duhail face Al Khor in a highly-consequential Week 22 match of the 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League at Al Khor Stadium on Friday, April 18, 2025. The kick-off is at 6.30pm.

Al Duhail are still in contention to win the title if they beat Al Khor provided their arch-rivals Al Sadd get beaten or are held to a draw by Al Ahli in simultaneous kick-off.

Al Sadd are currently on top of the table with 49 points, while Al Duhail have a tally of 47 points.

If Al Sadd win against Al Ahli, they will officially clinch the title regardless of the result of Al Duhail’s game against Al Khor.

Al Duhail coach Christophe Galtier will surely prepare his players technically and psychologically for this crucial game while aiming to achieve a second consecutive victory, having beaten Al Arabi 1-0 in the previous round.

In contrast, Al Khor, who lost to Al Sadd 0-3 in the previous round, have already been relegated to the Second Division being in 12th and last place in the standings with 13 points, five points behind 11th-placed Umm Salal, who will now play the Play-Off against Second Division runners-up.

Despite Al Khor’s improved results in recent rounds since Iraqi coach Salam Shaker took over, with two consecutive victories, they still fell short. Their loss to Al Sadd eventually resulted in the team’s relegation from the league.

Al Khor had beaten Al Duhail 2-1 in their first-leg match.
