Al Rayyan coach Artur Jorge spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 21 match against Al Shamal.

“We have another difficult and important match to test the team’s character. By defeating them, we can compete for fifth place. We have to do our best because we need to win. We have performed well in our last three matches, but we did not achieve the result we hoped for.

“We are definitely thinking about the Amir Cup, but not now. We have to finish the league well by getting the available six points. We know we have enough time to think about the Amir Cup, and now we have to take each match step by step,” said Artur Jorge.

Al Rayyan player Murad Naji said, “The team is ready to face Al Shamal. The match will be tough. Al Shamal are coming off two wins and have high morale, while we are coming off two losses despite our good performance in recent matches. We have to do our best until the last match and the only positive thing is winning.

“We prepare for each match separately. Al Shamal are our competitors now. Yes, they are coming off two wins. We have to give everything we have on the field and wait for the best.”
