Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 21 match against Al Wakrah.
“We respect Al Wakrah, a team with good players, and we always face problems when facing them because they are known for their fighting spirit. Al Wakrah’s current position in the standings does not reflect their true value and I know very well that it will be a difficult match. This is the case with our matches against Al Wakrah, they are often equal and competitive, and I expect it to be a great match.
“Rodrigo is very close to returning to training and Muntari is continuing treatment with the medical staff, and we are awaiting his return. The rest of the players are in good condition,” said Martins.
Al Gharafa player Hamed Ismail said, “Preparations were good. Our goal is to do our best to maintain third place. We still have the 2025 Qatar Cup and the Amir Cup ahead of us, and the team is capable of winning one of these two championships.
“The Al Wakrah match is a tough one against a team with a number of distinguished players and stars. For our part, our goal is to maintain third place and perform at our best.”
