Al Khor coach Salam Shaker spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 21 match against Al Sadd.

“It will not be an easy match and we will go into the match to achieve a positive result.

“To be or not to be is our motto in all the remaining matches. We have no choice but to win and we will fight to collect all points. Al Sadd are an organized and strong team with distinguished players, but we have worked on their strengths and weaknesses.

“The three points are important for both teams. The pressure is on us and on them. We are playing to stay in the game and they are playing to maintain the lead in the league. Therefore, the competition will be intense in this match and we must be careful and play intelligently to achieve a positive result.

“All the players are ready for this match and we have prepared well psychologically, technically and physically. We have turned the page on the match against Qatar SC and now we face a new final under different circumstances. We wish the team the best,” said Salam Shaker.

Al Khor player Ibrahima Diallo said, “Our preparations were excellent and good and we must continue at the same pace. We are playing against Al Sadd to win and there is no alternative, and we are capable of achieving that.

“We know that Al Sadd are a distinguished team, but we also possess the quality required to win and achieve a positive result, and we believe in our abilities as players to achieve what is required. The pressure is on both teams, and we must be confident in ourselves and our abilities to be able to win. We worked well in training to limit the threat posed by Al Sadd. My message to the fans is to continue supporting your team and we hope to make them happy in the end.”
