Al Ahli coach Igor Biscan spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 21 match against Umm Salal.
“We performed exceptionally well in our last match against Al Shahania and the previous match against Al Rayyan. The team has a lot to offer against Umm Salal. The circumstances we experienced several rounds ago were merely a setback from which we have recovered and are now on the path to achieving our goal.
“We have reached 35 points, which is good for me as a coach, but the club’s ambition is to finish the season in the best possible position and achieve the highest number of points, to confirm that the great work done by the club’s management, players and technical staff since the beginning of the season has not been in vain.
“Everyone would play the remaining two matches with all their strengths and seriousness in order to secure points. The focus is currently on the Umm Salal match, which is the most important thing, and then the next match can be considered. We are looking forward to concluding the season in the best possible way,” said Biscan.
Al Ahli player Bahaa Ellethy said, “We have regained our excellent technical level and ability to collect points, and will continue in this path to end the season in the best possible way.
“The players see all matches as difficult and no match is easy. We are looking forward to giving their best to confirm that we deserve to be among the top four in the league.”
