Al Shamal coach David Prats spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 15 match against Al Gharafa.

“We are waiting for a difficult match against one of the strong teams in the league as they have presented distinguished performances and achieved positive results in the recent period, as evidenced by their presence in the race for the league title this season.

“We respect Al Gharafa a lot and are aware of their strengths, but that does not prevent us from playing to collect the three points to compensate for the loss the team suffered in the last minutes of the match against Qatar SC in the last round on the one hand, and to maintain our position in the league table on the other hand.

“We know that there is a challenge awaiting us in the match against Al Gharafa, but we must show our best in front of everyone and in order to achieve the desired result,” said Prats.

Al Shamal player Mowafak Awad said, “The match will be difficult and strong in view of the strength of the competitor and the desire of both teams to collect the three points.

“For our part, we will play to achieve victory and collect the three points, in order to correct the course after the loss the team suffered in the last round against Qatar SC and to regain the right path and continue the good path that the team started since the beginning of the current season.”
