Al Sadd coach Felix Sanchez spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 15 match against Umm Salal.

“Our next match will be against Umm Salal, a team that gave a strong performance in their last match against Al Duhail, so we realize that they will be tough competitors.

“Umm Salal are an organized team and they have attackers capable of creating danger, so we will try to present a match that reflects our capabilities, with a focus on attack and controlling the game.

“We hope to perform well and achieve the three points at this stage of the season, as it has become necessary to collect points weekly in view of the strong and close competition. The victory over Al Arabi was a positive result that boosted the players’ confidence, especially after the loss to Qatar SC.

“We are looking forward to present a strong performance in terms of playing style and results, which is very important. We realize that we have a big challenge in every round of Ooredoo Stars League, as all matches have become close in level, so we will do our best to achieve victory,” said Sanchez.

Al Sadd player Giovani Henrique said, “Umm Salal are a strong team and we aspire to win the league title, which means that there is no room for losing more points. Every match is considered as a final for us and we seek to achieve victory in the next match.

“Everyone knows the difficulty of the competition this season and this is a big challenge for us to win the league. We are four points behind the leaders at the moment and I believe that we are able to achieve the title if we win the upcoming matches.”
