Umm Salal coach Patrice Beaumelle spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 15 match against Al Sadd.

“Our match against Al Sadd on Friday, in the 15th round of Ooredoo Stars League 2024-2025, will be difficult and very important.

“We are facing a big team that plays well, which means that our match with them will be strong and exciting. Playing two consecutive matches against two teams the size of Al Duhail and Al Sadd requires high concentration and playing with the same enthusiasm and spirit that the team showed in previous matches.

“Despite the difficulty of the match, I trust my players. I watched the Umm Salal match against Al Duhail and I was very impressed with the players’ performance, confidence and fighting spirit. Despite the loss, the team did not deserve to lose and was closer to achieving a draw, as the players presented a distinguished performance, but this is football.

“We must play with the same spirit against Al Sadd and be realistic in our preparations for the match. What I like about the team is that everyone is ready to present a strong match in order to reach a position worthy of the name of Umm Salal. Therefore, we will play to present the best, which is our permanent goal in all matches,” said Beaumelle.

Umm Salal player Sayed Hassan said, “It will be a difficult and important match, and we seek to present our best and achieve a positive result. The team’s preparations are strong and at the highest level under the leadership of the new coach.

“Al Sadd are a big team and include distinguished players, but we enter the match with great confidence. Despite the loss to Al Duhail, all the players are optimistic and are entering the matches with a fighting spirit and high confidence, especially since the team has performed strongly in the past rounds.
