Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 15 match against Al Ahli.
“We look forward to continuing the victories in the league championship and I am very happy to achieve victory in the last match and I thank all the players for the great work and effort they provided.
“Getting three points against an organized and strong team like Al Shamal is very good, reflecting the seriousness of our team and its desire to win, and we hope to continue at the same level to achieve more positive results and continue to advance in the league.
“We are expecting an interesting match against Al Ahli, who have great capabilities and have shown how deserving they are to be in the top four, and this motivates us even more to prepare in the best possible way for this match in order to come out with a positive result. Qatar SC have begun to treat every match we play as if it were a final.
“Unfortunately, we suffered from key absences in our recent matches, and we will miss the efforts of player Ahmed Abdel Kader in this match after he suffered a first-degree tear in the last minutes of our last match, and Badr Benoun will continue to be absent, and despite these absences, I trust the rest of the players and their readiness to do their best for the team,” said Safri.
Qatar SC player Moataz Majed said, “We are happy with the victories achieved in the recent matches in the league and we look forward to more in the coming rounds, and the truth is that the team showed a strong reaction. We, as players, have pledged to do our best to take the team to its normal position in the league table, and we are still looking forward to further progress until we reach the best possible position that satisfies our fans.
“We play every match as if it were a final and we always look forward to winning despite the strength and difficulty of the matches. We trust in our abilities and will continue to work to achieve all our goals that we seek this season. We are ready to face Al Ahli with determination, insistence and a great desire to win and collect the three points.”
