Al Arabi will play their crucial away game against Al Qadsia of Kuwait in the fifth round, Group B of the Gulf Club Champions League at the Mohammed Al Hamad Stadium of Al Qadsia club in Kuwait on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. The kick-off is at 6.15pm.
Group B of the Gulf Club Champions League also includes Al Ettifaq of Saudi Arabia and Al Riffa of Bahrain.
Al Arabi are looking to keep up their chances of qualifying for the next round. Currently they are in fourth and last place in Group B with a solitary point, while Al Qadsia are second with five points, while Al Ettifaq of Saudi Arabia lead the standings with 12 points. Al Riffa of Bahrain are in third place with four points.
Al Arabi are in a must-win situation but also need to wait on the result of the match between Al Riffa and Al Ettifaq, who have officially qualified. Al Arabi would want to keep hopes alive and have their final group stage match against Al Riffa in Doha - a clash which could prove to be decisive to their fortunes.
The Dream Team recently suffered a loss against Al Sadd in Week 14 of the Ooredoo Stars League and hence their coach would them to smarten from the defeat and bounce back strongly with a win against Al Qadsia.
The Gulf Club Champions League includes eight teams divided into two groups and the matches are played on a home-and-away basis. The top two teams from each group qualify for the semifinals.
