Al Sadd and Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia will meet in the seventh round of 2024-2025 season AFC Champions League Elite (West Zone) at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium of Al Sadd club on Monday, February 3, 2025. The kick-off is at 7pm.

Al Sadd currently hold the fourth position in the standings with 12 points, trailing behind the leaders, Al Hilal and Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia, both of whom have accumulated 16 points. Al Nassr from Saudi Arabia occupy the third spot with 13 points.

Al Sadd aim to secure their fourth victory in the tournament following a 1-1 draw with UAE's Al Ain in the opening round. They subsequently achieved a 2-0 victory over Esteghlal from Iran in the second round, followed by a 1-0 win against Persepolis from Iran in the third round. In the fourth round, they drew 1-1 with UAE's Al Wasl, and their fifth-round match against Al Hilal also ended in a 1-1 draw. However, they managed to clinch a significant 2-1 victory against Al Nasr at the Al Awwal Park Stadium in the sixth round.

Conversely, Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia are positioned second with 16 points, same as leaders Al Hilal but trailing on goal difference.

In the Ooredoo Stars League, Al Sadd are second with 28 points, four points behind leaders Al Duhail.

Both Al Sadd and Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia have officially qualified for the round of 16 in the AFC Champions League Elite.

It is important to note that the top eight clubs from each league advance to the next round (Round of 16), followed by the final stages, which are conducted in a consolidated format starting from the quarterfinals.
