Al Rayyan are set to play a highly-anticipated match against Al Ain of the UAE in the seventh round of 2024-2025 season AFC Champions League Elite (West Zone) at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in the UAE on Monday, February 3, 2025. The kick-off is at 5pm.

Al Rayyan currently hold the seventh position in their group, accumulating five points from six matches. The team have recorded one victory, two draws, and three losses, scoring a total of six goals while conceding nine.

The sole victory for Al Rayyan came against Pakhtakor from Uzbekistan, with a score of 1-0. They managed to draw with Persepolis of Iran and UAE's Al Wasl, both ending in 1-1. However, they faced defeats against Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia (1-3), Al Nasr (1-2), and Al Ahli Jeddah (1-2).

Artur Jorge, the Portuguese coach and technical director of Al Rayyan, aims to secure his first Asian victory with the team, driven by the ambition to qualify for the tournament's round of 16.

To enhance their chances, the team has bolstered its offensive capabilities by signing Paraguayan striker Adam Bereiro, who made his debut in the match against Al Gharafa during the fourteenth week of the Ooredoo Stars League 2024-2025, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Following their match against Al Ain, Al Rayyan are set to host Iranian club Esteghlal on February 18 in the eighth round.
