Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 11 match against Al Rayyan.
“In fact, no one was satisfied with the result that the team came out with in the previous match against Al Shahania, especially since we performed well in the second half and had many opportunities that could have been translated into goals, but we did not succeed in that. We were keen during the last break to address all aspects that contribute to our better appearance in the upcoming matches.
“Our upcoming match against Al Rayyan will certainly be difficult, but everyone knows how important it is. We aspire to win and collect the three points to advance in the standings at the end of the first half.
“We have regained the services of some players who were absent from the previous matches due to injuries, but the good thing is that the entire group is working well. When the system relies on teamwork, the results are better.
“I hope the fans will attend and support us because we need them, and we are in dire need of all the factors that motivate and push us towards winning and collecting points so that we can strengthen our position in the league table,” said Safri.
Qatar SC player Badr Benoun said, “The upcoming match against Al Rayyan in the league is of great importance to us.
“We know that we are facing a difficult match, but we hope that it will be the finale of the first half.
“Our matches against Al Rayyan are always strong, so we must focus completely on this game and do our best to achieve victory, given our dire need to win and get the three points to improve our position in the league.
“We do not hide our dissatisfaction with the team’s current standings and we aspire to improve the situation, and we have a great determination to achieve victory and collect the three points at the end of our matches in the first half, and we look forward to appearing in an honourable manner in the second leg of the league and achieving better results.”
