Al Rayyan coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 7 match against Al Khor.

“The Al Khor match is important for us, and its importance comes due to our efforts to compensate for the points we lost in the previous rounds, and to advance further and move away from the bottom of the standings, and gradually start reaching the best possible position. The team prepared well during the international break, by taking advantage of the QSL Cup matches to prepare most of the players, as well as the participation of overseas players with the national teams and their return and participation in training, and I believe that the team is fully prepared to appear in a good way in the match against Al Khor.

“The Al Khor match is difficult, especially since it is against a team looking to compensate after losing in some previous matches, and playing on its home ground and among its fans. We are looking to gain points in any possible way to give us more comfort, and to appear better in the upcoming matches. The team has big names, but we need a little time to reach the best possible readiness,” said Younes.

Al Rayyan player Gabriel Pereira said, “We know that it is a very important match, so we will fight to do our best, we need to fight to win, and this is what we will do.

“We know that the team’s level now is not as good as last season, so we have to focus on training, and try to return to what we presented before, and this is what we can do.”
