Al Sadd will host Umm Salal in Week 4 of the 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium of Al Sadd club on Friday, September 13, 2024. The kick-off is at 8pm.

Defending champions Al Sadd will go into the match being in third place with six points - from wins over Qatar SC and Al Arabi after the loss to Al Shamal.

On the other hand, Umm Salal will face a big challenge against their fancied rivals.

Umm Salal dropped to seventh place with three points from a single win over Al Shamal in the second week. They have suffered two losses - against Al Rayyan and Al Duhail in that order.

The result of the match and the points gained thereof would be of great importance to both teams. Al Sadd will surely look to continue their winning run in the league and take their tally to nine points, while Umm Salal will be keen to do their best for a positive result and continue competing to rise in the rankings.

Al Sadd, under Felix Sanchez, would want to score another win and get closer to leaders Al Duhail in the rankings. The Spaniard will also have a full-fledged squad at his disposal except for the absence of Malian player Mohamed Camara, who is serving a suspension from the French League.

On the other hand, Umm Salal will be tough and fierce competitors given the readiness of most of their players, most notably Marouane Loudani and Kenji Gorre. Frenchman Patrice Carteron’s wards are looking forward to make their presence felt and a positive result after the loss in the last round would help the side gain strength.
