Al Sadd coach Felix Sanchez spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 2 match against Qatar SC.

“We will play our second match in the league against Qatar SC, it will be difficult, both teams need points to return to good results.

“We know that they are a strong team and had a good season last year, they reached the Amir Cup final, but we seek to perform well and compete at our best level.

“Losing (to loss to Al Shamal) is always a disappointing result, but we hope that this loss will give us additional motivation in this match, we need to achieve good results in every match we play, the team is in good morale, to play a good match on Saturday and we hope to achieve a positive result.

“We must always strive to improve, regardless of the previous result, we must work day after day to improve our way of playing and achieve good results,” said Sanchez.

Al Sadd player Mustafa Tariq said, “Our focus is on getting the first three points after losing the first match against Al Shamal. This match is very important for us and our focus is on achieving victory to advance a step forward in the league championship.

“I am in good condition after a short absence and I am ready to help the team in the next match, and we are waiting for the fans to attend the match against Qatar SC because they are always our first supporters.”
