Al Ahli coach Pedro Miguel spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 12 match against Al Duhail.

“The match will not be easy, but as a coach I must prepare the players to provide the best performance in order to come out with points. The opponents are a strong team with great technical capabilities.

“We are going through a difficult stage in terms of absences, but that does not mean that we will be satisfied with the team’s conditions. Rather, we will work to prepare the players in the best possible way to achieve the goal of the match, which is a positive result. We are always looking to achieve victory and have lost two matches in a row. But I am confident in the ability of our players to return to the winning path.

“We have no choice but to work with our players to achieve victory and show a good level, especially since we need this in order to restore balance. We focus a lot on teamwork with the aim of getting the best results,” said Pedro Miguel.

Al Ahli defender Amin Tihi said, “What my team is going through at the moment will not last long and the team will turn to the winning path in the league. We, the players, are confident in our abilities to provide the best performance in order to score points.

“We will make every effort to improve the team’s results. We lost matches which we did not deserve to lose, but as players we have no choice but to work for the best for Al Ahly club.

“We need to focus in order to score points. We are facing Al Duhail, known for their offensive strength and the ability of their players to score goals, which will make the match difficult. But we will be fully prepared physically and technically.”
