Al Wakrah assistant coach Ali Al Marri spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 12 match against Muaither.

“I hope that we will be able to overcome the Muaither obstacle and the match will be difficult for the two teams.

“Despite the limited time between the matches against Al Duhail and Muaither, we are determined to get the three points, and I hope that our players will not be affected by fatigue due to the limited time in order to enter the long break in the league with great comfort.

“We feel very satisfied with everything that Al Wakrah have presented in the first leg because this is the first time in a long time that Al Wakrah are in second place in the league championship standings.

“We have one match left before the long break, in which we will meet with Muaither, and therefore the result of this match is very important for us.

“Our fans are always looking for positive results, but football has many developments, absences and injuries, so we strive to overcome all adverse circumstances in order to make our fans happy,” said Al Marri.

Al Wakrah player Yousef El Khatib said, “The result of this match is important to us, so we will strive to achieve victory and collect all the points. The truth is that the opponents will be difficult because he also wants to achieve victory.

“This is my first season with Al Wakrah and I strive to give off my best and focus on implementing all the instructions of the technical staff in order to provide the required addition to the team.
