Muaither face Al Wakrah in Week 12 of the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League at the Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium of Al Ahli club on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. The kick-off is at 5.30pm.

Muaither, who are ranked 11th and have six points, seek to enter the match and start the second leg of the season with full force in order to make up for the lost points.

Second-placed Al Wakrah, who are on the same 24 points as Al Gharafa but are ahead due to goal difference, are looking for a strong start to the second leg at the expense of Muaither.

Al Wakrah had defeated Muaither 3-0 in the first leg in Week 1.

The clash between the two teams will not only involve the players on the field but also the coaches, who are both determined to secure victory and earn three points.

Al Wakrah aim to solidify their progress and recent victories, including the one against Al Duhail in the postponed match from Week 6. On the other hand, Muaither seek to move away from the lower positions in the ranking table.

However, this game may not be easily decided, considering the shared ambition of both teams to secure the three points. They both aspire to overcome the first obstacle in the second part of the season before the upcoming break for the Asian Cup.

Muaither’s ranks include many foreign and local professional players, most notably Algerian Nassim Benaissa, Moroccan Ayman El Hassouni, Congolese Guy Mbenza and other players.

Al Wakrah include distinguished players, the most prominent of whom are Hamdi Fathi, Omar Salah and Ayoub Assal, in addition to Algerian Mohamed Benyettou, Angolan Jacinto Dala, Australian defender Trent Sainsbury, Lucas Mendes and others.
