Al Wakrah face Umm Salal in Week 7 of the 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Al Janoub Stadium. The kick-off is at 7.30 pm.

Al Wakrah aim to secure their fourth victory of the season, while Umm Salal seek to regain momentum after a defeat to Al Rayyan in Week 6.

Al Wakrah, who had their Week 6 match against Al Duhail postponed, currently stand in fourth place with 11 points. Umm Salal, on the other hand, occupy sixth place with eight points.

Given the significance of the match and the three points at stake, both coaches are expected to strategically utilize their key players to ensure a successful outcome.

Al Wakrah, performing exceptionally well this season as well, will strive to surpass Umm Salal and secure the three points to maintain their position.

Al Wakrah coach Marquez Lopez will capitalize on the strength and impressive performances of his team to secure victory. In the fifth round, Al Wakrah had beaten Al Rayyan 3-2, showcasing their exceptional abilities.

Lopez will be relying on Mohamed Benyettou, Jacinto Dala, Hamdi Fathi, Lucas Mendes, Hazem Shehata, Ahmed Fadhel and Ayoub Assal, who won the Best Player Award in August and September in the Expo Stars League.

As for Umm Salal, they will be aiming to regain their winning streak and improve their position in the ranking table. The team’s coach, Patrice Carteron, will diligently address the errors happened in the previous match to secure victory once more.

Umm Salal enter the match missing their most prominent player Victor Lekhal, who was injured and missed the last match against Al Rayyan, and also Marouane Loudani, who received a red card against Al Rayyan.
