Al Shamal coach Poya Asbaghi spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 2 match against Al Wakrah.

“It is time to talk about the next game against Al Wakrah after several days we spent in training following the Al Arabi match in the first round.

“A difficult match awaits us against a very good team, but we are determined to continue the good performance that we presented in the last match against Al Arabi, especially in the second half,” said Asbaghi.

Al Shamal player Ali Olwan said, “Facing Al Wakrah will be difficult against a big team.

“A strong match awaits us against a great team that we respect a lot and know their value, but that does not prevent us from striving to do our best to achieve victory and collect the three points in order to advance in the league table. This is our goal when we play the next match.”
