Al Arabi coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 1 match against Al Shamal.

“Our preparations were good and the outdoor camp was very useful. The players made a great effort in preparing for the start of the league.

“The competition this season will not be easy and all teams have prepared well by bringing in quality players, and we hope that our start will be successful.

“The first matches are always difficult, whether physically or during the preparation, especially since the teams are anxious before the first round.

“The importance of the match lies in achieving the three points, and thus it gives us a great advantage and comfort to continue and reach the farthest point possible.

“We aspire to continue this support,” said Younes.

Al Arabi player Omar Al Somah said, “Winning the first round and achieving a positive result will be reflected on the team’s performance in the upcoming matches.

“The first game is always difficult and exciting, which is usual in the opening matches of the league.

“We are ready for the match and our ambition is to win and collect the three points.

“Morale is high and just like we finished last season, we are starting the new season with the same level of morale. God-willing, the high spirit will continue and we will use it in order to achieve the greatest benefit.”
