Al Shamal coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 19 match against Al Wakrah.

“It will be a very strong and difficult match for both teams, who know each other well.

“Al Shamal vs Al Wakrah matches are always strong and full of excitement. We hope to achieve the desired goal, which is winning and reaping the three points.

“I think that small details will decide the result on Thursday. We know Al Wakrah team well and realize its strengths, especially since it includes players at the highest level, such as Mohamed Benyettou, Dala and others,” said Wesam.

Al Shamal player Ali Olwan said, “A difficult game awaits us against a very good team, for whom we have utmost appreciation and respect in view of their distinguished performances and results this season.

“Although we are aware of the difficulty of the match and the strength of the opponents, we are looking forward to perform well, achieve victory and collect the three points in order to move away from the danger zone in the standings and take a new step towards confirming survival in the league.”
