Al Shahania coach Jose Murcia spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 18 match against Al Sadd.

“We realize the importance of the Al Sadd match after the previous match against Al Duhail, from which we deserved to come out with at least one point, so we have to correct the mistakes the team made in the last match. We are ready to face Al Sadd and collect three points.

“We have prominent absences in the team such as Francesco Antonucci due to suspension and Marc Muniesa due to injury, but I have confidence in the players who will replace them, and for me all the players are essential.

“We will play in our style and plan, and we will rely on my players to appear strongly against an integrated team, and we will rely on team play,” said Murcia.

Al Shahania player Abdullah Khaled said, “The team is ready for this match like all matches. We are at the end of the league, so there are injuries and absences, and Al Shahania with those present, this season we have a complete team, and are 100 per cent ready to face Al Sadd.

“Al Sadd are a complete team and I do not think that their Asian participation will affect them in the league match, and we are ready for this game.”
