Al Khor coach Andre Lima spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 12 match against Al Duhail.

“It will be a strong match against a strong competitor. It is no secret to us that Al Duhail is one of the strongest teams and we want to appear in the best image in front of them, and we must focus in every match in the second leg, as I mentioned previously that we play every match as if it were a final.

“We have to fight in every match, and every week we prepare in a different way according to the confrontation and we know that every match will be difficult.

“As for the players, I am proud of them and I am confident of them, and we must not think about transfers now, this is the team that exists and we must work together to appear in the strongest form,” said Lima.

Al Khor player Anas Al Fadil said, “In the second leg, we have a new spirit and a new coach, and the victory over Qatar SC has restored our prestige and confidence.

“Al Duhail is a respectable team and has a very strong attacking line consisting of Olunga, Edmilson and Almoez Ali, and we worked with the coach to find a way to stop them.

“They are able to achieve a positive result, and we worked with the coach via video on how to stop them, and we studied them.”
