Al Duhail coach Luis Castro spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 20 match against Al Sadd.

“At the outset, I would like to congratulate Al Sadd on winning the league. Credit also goes to their former coach Xavi Hernandez and current coach Javi Gracia. Because Al Sadd will be crowned after this match, and we will go into it in order to win, as is the case with Al Sadd, who will also take the field to win.

“The hard work in training is what led the team to appear distinctively in the past rounds and there is a great focus on our match against Al Sadd because we are looking for points. We are now thinking about the Al Sadd match only and we must focus all our efforts on this match,” said Castro.

Al Duhail player Abdulrahman Fahmy said, “A strong match awaits us against Al Sadd and everyone is waiting for it, be they the players or the public, because of its importance. The team is ready for this match and we must perform in the required manner in order to achieve victory.

“Al Sadd always play to win all matches like Al Duhail and we will work hard to stop Al Sadd’s winning march. Certainly, this will give the match the excitement it needs in order to provide a football feast for the fans.
