Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 19 match against Al Sadd.

“Al Sadd have great technical capabilities even to win the AFC Champions League. They are a team that has only lost two points in the league this season so far. The rest of their matches are all victories, so the match will be strong and difficult.

“We presented strong and distinguished levels in the past rounds of the league, but in football the lesson is not about what you have done, but rather what you will do in the matches. We are working to prepare the team to be a strong competitor on the field against Al Sadd.

“The team's display in the recent matches was wonderful, which gives more confidence and we must work better in order to continue the positive results that satisfy our ambitions.

“I have confidence in our players' abilities to present themselves well against the strongest teams in Qatar and get a satisfactory result,” said Nebojsa.

Al Ahli goalkeeper Ivanildo Rodriguez said, “A difficult and important game, we are looking forward to achieving the best results this season and that all players will be fully prepared.

“We presented distinguished levels and that gives the team additional motivation and great confidence to achieve victories and provide the best level. That is the desire of all players.
