Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 18 match against Al Wakrah.
“We played a great match against Umm Salal, especially considering their results and level in the league. The important thing is that we accomplished the task successfully, and with determination and will, the difference was made, especially that the team is making great efforts and there is quality in the level of performance with and without the ball. We also managed to create good chances and scored two goals.
“Everyone has a great desire to achieve another victory and thus continue the journey despite the difficulty of the next match.
“Everyone is fully prepared except for some injuries to a number of key players, and their injuries affect the group especially since we work as a family. I hope that we will be in the best possible condition. In football, we have to deal with changes and adjust with circumstances and I have great confidence in all players. So we are sometimes keen to involve young players, who understand the future of the team, and they must take advantage of their opportunity in the best possible way,” said Safri.
Qatar SC player Salah Al Yahaei said, “The team is progressing with steady steps and we have a wonderful coach, and we strive to provide the best. Our team is psychologically and physically prepared for the Al Wakrah match.
“Our training is held in high harmony and we are like one family. We strive to achieve a positive result that reflects our efforts on the field.
“There is no doubt that the league championship has strong levels. Frankly, there is no easy team in the championship. As far as I am concerned, I strive to help my teammates to always provide the best.”
