Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 8 match against Al Sadd.

“Al Sadd are a very strong team and they are the backbone of the Qatar national team, the Asian champions.

“We need to achieve a positive result against Al Sadd. We have full respect for them. We must provide the best technical level and play to win. At the same time, football is also about give and take, and I trust that my players will give off their best against the best teams in the league.

“I do not think about facing the strongest attacking line or the number of goals we may concede. Rather, my thinking is about how to provide the best performance and achieve the result that we wish. In football, everything is possible,” said Jovovic.

Al Ahli player Abdulaziz Hazaa said, The Al Sadd match is one of the strongest on our path. We, as players, respect Al Sadd a lot. They are a strong team and everyone knows that they are the best. But as players, we are determined to provide the best technical level for them in the match and will play with the desire to win and provide the best level against the strongest teams with the aim of getting the three points.
