Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 20 match against Al Shamal.

“The next match is of great importance and it will not be easy for my team, given the previous result that we had against Al Sadd and the reality of Al Shamal's strength.

“Al Shamal are a respectable team, beating them will not be easy. But as a coach, I focus on preparing my players in order to win the match and return to the path of victories.

“Al Shamal are considered as one of the best league teams in the new year 2022 as they played at good levels and achieved some positive results. This means that they are on the rise in level and this requires us to prepare for the match with a high degree of focus in order to win it,” said Nebojsa.

Al Ahli player Abdulrashid Ibrahim said, “We, players, feel sad for the result against Al Sadd and apologize to our fans and promise everyone to return quickly to the path of victories in the league.

“The Al Shamal match will not be easy and we realize the need to present a distinguished level and achieve a result that satisfies our fans. Our goal is to win and regain confidence.

“Al Ahli are able to return to the path of victories and we do not lack in spirit. We will work to learn from the lesson of the loss in the last round.”
