Al Ahli coach Pedro Miguel spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 18 match against Al Arabi.

“I have great moral value for the players and we must achieve success for our team and make the club’s fans happy, especially since Al Ahli succeeded in achieving victory over Al Arabi in the first leg, but that does not mean that he will win the round. He must prepare his players to provide a distinguished level in the tournament. The match achieves the desired goal.

“Al Arabi are one of the strongest and best teams in the league this season, but on the other hand, I trust in the high spirit with which Al Ahli play and trust in the motivation of the players and the team to achieve victory. Al Ahli have one goal, which is to perform with the spirit of one team and with sufficient quality to achieve victory.

“The pressure of matches and the continuous period of play every four days requires us to follow specific physical treatments for the players in order to recover and prepare for the next match. Al Ahli have lost the services of a large number of important players for four rounds and therefore we must prepare more,” said Pedro Miguel.

Al Ahli player Yassin Al Farid said, “We are looking forward to collect points and advance in the standings, especially since our victory in the last round gave a great morale boost for the upcoming matches. Al Arabi are one of the strongest teams in the league and have the best players in their ranks, but we do not lack the determination to face them in order to achieve a positive result. At the same time, we have full respect for Al Arabi. We will make every effort on the field in order to come up with a result that satisfies them.”
