Al Sadd coach Javi Gracia spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 22 match against Al Wakrah.

“We play a large number of matches in a very short period. Next Friday, we will have played a game every 48 hours and this is a lot of pressure on the players.

“All matches are difficult and we must maintain the same performance. We will do everything in our capacity to keep winning.

“We must focus on the Al Wakrah match on Friday, but at the same time we must know that we have a more important match in the Amir Cup semifinal next Monday.

“All Al Sadd players are ready and we will work to achieve the required balance for the players to participate in the upcoming matches. All of our players are able to do the best and win,” said Gracia.

Al Sadd player Guillerme Torres said, “Al Wakrah display good levels and we respect them a lot. They have assured themselves of the third position and have progressed to the Amir Cup semifinal. We, at Al Sadd, aim to continue victories despite the fact that the league title has been officially decided.

“We strive to provide our best in the upcoming matches and maintain the winning streak in addition to preparing well for the Amir Cup semifinal against Al Duhail.”
