Al Arabi officially finished in fourth place in the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League after defeating Umm Salal 2-0 in Week 22 (final round) at the Al Gharafa Stadium on Thursday.

Aaron Boupendza (59th minute) and Yousef Msakni (61st minute) were the scorers as Al Arabi raised their score to 36 points, while Umm Salal finished sixth with 25 points.

It was a deserving finish for Al Arabi under Qatari coach Younes Ali despite the difficulties they went through during the tournament.

The Dream Team registered 11 victories, three draws and eight defeats, and have a goal difference of +3 (34 goals for and 31 against).

Umm Salal had beaten Al Arabi 2-0 in the first leg of 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League.

After a goalless first half, Al Arabi opened the scoring through Gabonese striker  Boupendza.

Al Arabi continued to dominate and, two minutes later, Tunisian forward Msakni doubled their lead.

Despite Umm Salal’s attempts to score, Al Arabi kept attacking. However, the scoreline remained unchanged and Al Arabi recorded a famous victory.
