Umm Salal assistant coach Bouziane Ben Arabi spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 14 match against Al Duhail.

“We lost a lot of points and matches during the past period, and we worked to give confidence to the players in order to come back strongly against Al Duhail, and we seek to do so through the performance we will present.

“The match against Al Duhail team will be very strong and difficult, given what we are currently going through after changing the coach. The players realize the importance of this match in view of the current situation and we are striving to do everything in our capacity to provide the best, especially since the team has trained strongly during the past period.

“I know the Umm Salal team well and as I was following the team’s progress, so we are trying with all our might to provide a good performance and come out with a positive result.

“Everyone knows the strength of Al Duhail and the distinguished players they have in addition to being the league leaders, but Umm Salal will enter the match with confidence and competence.

“The team was not at its best during the previous two matches, which prompted the management to make a change in the technical staff. Everyone will do his best to provide the best, especially since the competitors have many options due to their high readiness,” said Ben Arabi.

Umm Salal player Oussama Tannane said, “The team prepared well for this match and despite the change of coach, the players enter the match with confidence. Nothing is impossible in football and all we have to do is play hard to achieve the best.
